When bungee jumping was first invented it was restricted to some places in Europe, New Zealand and America and eventually introduced into the highest mountain range in the world. So now you can experience bungee jumping in the greatest mountain range in the world. With the very first bungee jumping site situated 160m over the wild Bhote Koshi River near the Nepal-Tibet border a just three hours away from Kathmandu. This can be arranged in Kathmandu when you arrive and is purchased through various agencies. The jump itself was designed by one of New Zealand’s leading bungee consultants and is 160 metres high off the bridge.
Location: – Three hours north from Kathmandu by Ultimate Bungee shuttle. You follow the Araniko (Kathmandu/Lhasa) Highway to within 12km of the Tibet Border and the famous Friendship Bridge.
Note there is a new Bungee jump in Pokhara but it has only a 70 metre drop compared to 160 metres here. If you require Pokhara then we are happy to help you book.
The Gorge: –Ultimate Bungee Nepal takes place on a 166m wide steel suspension bridge over the Bhoti Koshi River.
The Bridge:-The bridge has been specially designed for bungee jumping by a Swizz company and has a loading factor of 250kg per running meter meaning it will hold 250 x 166 = 41,500kg or 4.5 tonnes. It has over 6000 meters of steel wire used to build the bridge * Longest suspension bridge in Nepal * the bridge joins two sides of a great valley and before its construction, locals walked five hours to cross this river gorge
Day 01 Arrival at Kathmandu (1348m)
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Tribhuwan International Airport we will receive you with private vehicle and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu/Planet Bhaktapur in B/B plan. Our representative will give you information about further programs. As your request we go to short walk around old city area.
Day 02 Kathmandu valley sightseeing
No one should come to Nepal and not have a guided tour of the Historic city of Kathmandu. With so many world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley its worth spending the day walking round,
taking photos and basking in the mixture of cultures that make up Kathmandu. You will get chance to visit such pilgrimage sites of Hindus Pashupatinath temple, the world biggest Bouddhanath Stupa, Swoyambhunath Stupa also known as monkey temple and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square with temple, unique architectures and Kumari (living goddess) in central Kathmandu. Then back to the hotel to prepare for the next morning
Day 03 Drive to the Bungee spot
Leave Kathmandu in the morning for the three hour drive to the Last Resort (Ultimate Bungee Sport). On arrival you will briefed and prepared for your bungee which you will take before spending the night at the last resort (or if you don’t have time drive back to Kathmandu).
Day 04 Exploration
If you decide to stay at the last resort you can spend the following day enjoying the area and the activities provided.
Day 05 Rafting on Bhote Koshi River
Or spend the day rafting back to Kathmandu over challenging rapids with an overnight stay in camp.
Day 06 Back to Kathmandu
Continue after a night camping before finally reaching the stop point and driving back to Kathmandu.
