Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu
Our airport representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport, after introductory meeting transport you to hotel in Kathmandu. Our guide will explain about the program in briefly along the way to hotel. You are being served with welcome drink at the hotel. Rest of the day varies upon your arrival time; we can organize some activities if you arrived by midday or early afternoon but late afternoon and evening arrivals have a free day for individual activities. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Buddhist religious sites tours In Kathmandu
In the early morning after breakfast, we will ride toward Buddhist religious sites tours in Kathmandu to Buddhist historical, spiritual and cultural attractions. We then take you to Kopan Monastery influenced by Tibetan Buddhism after observation continue proceed to Boudhhatnath Stupa, the largest Tibetan Buddhist stupa of the valley located about 6km. away to the east of Kathmandu City, known as Khasti Chitya then for Seto Gumpa nearby stupa where we can observe the monks and the Tibetan paintings. Swoyambhunath, one of the most glorious Buddhist Charitys probably the oldest temple of Nepal, famous for its nickname as Monkey Temple which has been registered in UNICECO heritage site. The stupa is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal and watches over the valley from the top of a hillock on its western side from where we can get excellent view. After lunch we will drive for another monastery, Pharping Gumpa which is located in the south of Kathmandu and spend few hours and apart that we then head toward the historic place Patan Durbar Square full of ancient palaces, temples and shrines between the 12th and 18the centuries and we will visit some Buddhist site including; Buddhist shrines, vihars, Maha Bauddha Temple, Ashokan Stupa, Machhend Patan city etc. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Lumbini
After breakfast, we leave Kathmandu and head toward Lumbini (origin of Buddhism), passing through the natural beauty or scenery by private vehicles or you can take scenic flight from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa, and from there our representative will transfer you to hotel around Lumbini. Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha as well as the origin of Buddhism, where has been revered as the place of holy pilgrimage. This has been included as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Late afternoon we go walking through the Sacred Lumbini Garden where the Buddha was born converges on the Ashoka pillar, there you can see the authentic proof that the Buddha has born in Nepal. Evening we will visit Buddhist temples for prayer. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04: Lumbini Exploration
After breakfast, visit the Maya Devi Temple with its bas-relief sculpture depicting Maya Devi holding on with her right hand to a branch of pipal tree and giving birth to the infant Buddha who stands up on a lotus pedestal. Then we begin the journey by driving away, 27km west of Lumbini; visit the important archaeological site, Tilaurkot, the ancient palace of King Suddodhan (Siddhartha Gautam’s father), where the Buddha spent his formative years as a Shakya Prince. There’s a museum nearby, The Kapilvastu Museum; the pottery, jewelry and ornaments are gathered in-house. End up the remarkable tour in Tilaurkot by visiting the shrines, monasteries and stupa near the sacred garden. After the full-day excursion we will spend the night at hotel in Lumbini.
Day 05: Fly or drive from Lumbini to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu by road or take a flight from Bhairahwa airport. Check-in at hotel, rest of the day is at your own leisure and can spent shopping etc. alternatively you can spend afternoon at shopping around Thamel and in the evening you can enjoy yourself on Rickshaw ride to have a Typical Nepalese Dinner at a local restaurant, Thamel before coming back to the hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Depart Kathmandu
According to your flight schedule, it is varies on your departure time rest of day is at leisure for independent activities of your interest until we pick you up at the hotel or we could plan some activities upon your choice if it is late hour flight and then transfer to airport for your further destination.
